Sad Times...

Hello all...
I am writing for those of you who have not heard yet about Mr. John's Place (Restaurant) closing Thursday, October 30, 2008. We will be closed Friday, October 24. Reopen Saturday, October 25. Opened Wednesday, October 29. And Thursday, October 30, 2008 will be our last night opened. Moment of Silence, please....................................................................
Ok. I've dried my tears up now. It's so sad, but true.

My parents decided to open the restaurant on October 11, 2000. They have been open for 8 years now. And wow, has it been a wonderful, eventful, and blessful 8 years! I know at times, it seemed like to me & my parents, that we had been there 88 years!
We all three will agree that this was something that we will never regret doing because we have learned so much and have met so many amazing people. God has truly blessed my parents and they're dream having a restaurant. And I speak for them when I say, The Restaurant will be missed, along with everyone who graciously supported us for the past 8 years.
My parents have reached another stage in their lives and they are ready to move on again. And who knows, the economy "might" get better and the doors may open up again. Only God knows what will take place. They will still have the building under their ownership for future ideas....
In the meantime, my daddy will be processing Deer full time. So for all you hunters (both men & women), please contact my dad, John, at 662-251-4646 when you've made that big kill of the season!
Also, they will continue to host parties for in house dining at the restaurant. They already have about 4 or 5 Christmas parties booked. So give them a call for your next party or gathering! Call 662-328-1022 from now until October 31 and we will have a new number come November and that is 662-327-4535.

To all of our customers of Mr. John's Place: Thank you so much for your patronage and support over the past 8 years. It has been our pleasure being able to serve you in our friendly and family atmosphere. We will truly miss each and everyone of you. Who knows, one day we may meet or should I say "eat" again at Mr. John's Place!
Call Mr. John for all your Deer Processing needs!
