Dining/Eating Room in House

The Wood Posts you see is real cedar that my Daddy made just for the house long time ago!

I'm really trying to catch everyone up on the house, so I might be posting several times in one day. That way, I'll be ready to post about Graduation, Wedding & Honeymoon!!!

Next thing we did to the house was paint the Eating/Dining Room and Kitchen! Oh, the JOYS of Painting! Just ask Matt! He said when we go to build our own house, we will definately hire someone to paint! Which, I will have to brag on him a bunch b/c I think he did a fabulous job! See for yourself!

Next Changes with House

The Process of adding a new porch. The house already had a porch on it, however, it needing redoing. (Probably could have delt with it, but hey, while we were remodeling everything else why not do the porch too!)

Got the lattice and steps up with posts and a roof. The posts are my favorite! They remind me of the home now!

So, last time I showed you the beginning stages of remodeling our first house! Well, moving on now, I will add more pictures and discuss what's going on. However, you do know these pictures were taken at the start of us doing this long process. Now, we are way past all of these, I just wanted to catch everyone up on things!

First Stages of Remodeling Our First Home!

Left side of the house. The gray part was where the brick chimney once was until my Daddy took it down all by himself.
Front of house. This was after the original porch had been take off. The wood on the porch was still good so of course my Daddy kept that. Matt is here studying the house.
Right side of the house.

This is the brick Daddy actually saved from the Chimney because this was the good, old brick with no holes! And later he had the idea of making steps inside the den with these actual bricks! I will post pics of the steps later!

Ok, I think its time I start all over again on our house! You need to follow the process from beginning to end! Matt & I will be renting out the house in front of my house now and right next to Mr. John's Place (this will help on cooking!). We both like the idea of renting only from my parents, if it were someone else we probably would have not done it.

So of course, the house is like 100 years old and I think everyone that has ever lived in New Hope has lived in this house or so that's what everyone tells me! Anyways, it needs some work or in other words: "it needs some work for me to live in it!" Well, what at first was going to just be a painting job and throw a few rugs here and there turned out to be totally something different!

I am going to try to post something different each day about the house from the day we started remodeling up to the day we move in so you will be caught up on what's going on in our lives!

Flooring Finished!

Today, I know two people that are very relieved of something that they have finally accomplished! Matt & my Daddy! The two of them by themselves layed all the new flooring down in our house for the past week! I must brag on them because they did an excellent job and I couldn't have done better myself! (In fact, I couldn't have done it at all!)

We also saved alot of money by letting them figure out how to do it themselves. I was so proud of them for taking the time out of their busy schedule to do something for me! I will add the before and after pics of the flooring as soon as I get them off of my camera!

Long time no blog!

The Pictures above are the before and after of our house that we have been constructing on! Big difference huh?! I'll post more pics later when I can find time!

Sorry its been a really long time since I've last blogged! Been way too busy with school, wedding, the house, work, and anything that follows under etc!

School is getting so close to coming to end, but I am so ready for it to be here I can't hardly wait. I now know why people say your senior year is the toughest! I have a bad case of Seniorist and I don't know if I will be able to make it 3 more months! I'm ready for Spring Break already!

Wedding planning is coming along great! The Invitations have arrived; now its just getting started on addressing them! I have had some wonderful friends and family volunteer to help me address some and I was so grateful for them when they asked! I think I just might take them up on that offer! The Guest List is going to through the last final stages- that was a big step to get that finished! Matt and I went to Tupelo last week-end to pick out his Tuxes- not half as much trouble as the Bridesmaid dresses! This past week-end Matt and I designed his Grooms Cake! I am so excited about it! It is very different- but that's us! About 3 weeks ago, I designed my Wedding Cake which was a huge ordeal! (If you know me, you know what I mean!) But I'm went on and got that part figured out. It was one of the many things stressing me out!

The House is finally coming almost to an end! Which this is so hard to believe considering we started construction on it in the fall. Matt and Dad put up the last of the crown molding yesterday and me and mom finished the final touches of paint throughout. The main things that will be coming up next is the laminate wood flooring, the window treatments, and the furniture! I'm so excited that the furniture will be here the week of my Spring Break! We bought our furniture from Ashley Furniture in Tupelo. Yes, I know, your thinking why didn't we buy it from the Columbus Ashley- well that's a long story I'll save for another blog!

Well, that's a summed up blog on what's going on in Matt, Beth, and Macy's lives! Stay Tuned for more! (hopefully!)

My 23 Birthday!

Hello Bloggers! Long time no blog, huh!?! Well, it looks like I'm only blogging on certain occasions or happenings. So here I go again! Tomorrow, December 3, is my 23rd Birthday! To tell you the truth, I haven't felt 22 yet, much less will I feel 23 tomorrow!

Yesterday, Matt and I decided to celebrate my birthday since starting tomorrow through Friday, I will be taking FINALS for my LAST FALL SEMESTER OF COLLEGE- YEAH! So we went to Tuscaloosa and just galavanted anywhere and everywhere we wanted to go. Matt gave me my first half of my birthday gift which was the outer Northface jacket to my Northface fleece inside jacket- I really wanted one and he had no idea, he is such a great fiance! He tricked me into thinking he got me something from Victoria's Secret by wrapping the jacket in a HUGE VS bag (see pictures above!)! We ate at one of my favorite places- the Japanese Steak House, where they cook your food right in front of you! Best experience if you never been to one of those! We spent about 3 hours in the Mall, I really didn't buy much, but it was just fun being around everyone while they were shopping for Christmas! We were just taking our time and not getting into any type of rush! He was very patient with me and letting me go and do whatever I wanted to!

Today, Sunday, we decided to keep on celebrating my birthday! Mom cooked one of my favorite meals- Homemade Chicken Spaghetti! Her and my Daddy also suprised me with my favorite dessert for my birthday cake- Red Velvet Cake! She decorated it all by herself! I'll post pics later. After we ate, Matt decided to go ahead and give my other half of my Birthday- an IPOD NANO! I was so excited! I had no clue he was getting me one! The only bad thing is, I have no idea how to use one, so any of you other bloggers have tips on an IPOD NANO, let me know!

So far, I have had a WONDERFUL EARLY 23RD BIRTHDAY! Tomorrow, my actual Birthday, will be great I'm sure; But I will mainly be focusing on studying! YUCK!
